The City of Ann Arbor is updating its Comprehensive Transportation Plan — a guiding document for the City’s transportation policies, programs and  to prioritize investments in the transportation network, including roads, sidewalks, paths, bike lanes, and public transit. We invite the community to help us establish the City’s priorities in Ann Arbor Moving Together Towards Vision Zero through this webpage and a variety of opportunities in-person throughout the process.

Ann Arbor Moving Together Towards Vision Zero is the City’s first Vision Zero-focused Comprehensive Transportation Plan and will work with community stakeholders to establish clear goals, objectives and action steps to achieve the shared goal of zero fatalities and severe injuries on the City’s streets. The planning process will build off of previous efforts to help the City achieve the goals set out in other documents, including the Master Plan and the Ann Arbor Climate Action Plan.

Ann Arbor Moving Together Towards Vision Zero will serve as an update to both the 2009 Ann Arbor Transportation Plan Update and the Non-motorized Plan. The 2009 Ann Arbor Transportation Plan Update has been serving as a guide to development of the transportation systems of the City. This plan will continue the vision and goals established in the 2009 plan, updating them to reflect recent changes locally in Ann Arbor, trends in transportation locally and nationally, and the priorities gleaned through engagement with our community.
